For The Cranberry Simple Syrup:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups cranberries
For The Italian Soda:
- 1 ounce cranberry simple syrup
- 1/2 ounce cinnamon Syrup
- 2/3 cup chilled club soda
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Make The Cranberry Simple Syrup: Combine the cranberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-high, stirring constantly, until cranberries just start to burst, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; let cool completely. Strain to remove the cranberries. Yields 1/2 cup syrup.TIP: The simple syrup can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Store refrigerated in an airtight container until ready to use.
- Make The Cinnamon Italian Soda: Mix together the cranberry simple syrup and the cinnamon syrup in a tall glass, top with ice then top with about 2/3 cup soda water. Stir, then garnish with a cinnamon stick or some skewered cranberries.
