There are few cocktails more classic than the Old Fashioned and with good reason: it’s simple to make and so delicious when made right. For the full rundown on this storied cocktail, head here. And, to make it yourself, follow the instructions below!

Ingredients

  • 1 Demerara sugar cube
  • 2 ounces good-quality bourbon
  • 2 dashes ANGOSTURA® orange bitters
  • 1 cocktail cherry
  • 1 large strips of orange peel
  • 1 splash cold water
  • ice cubes

Instructions

Place sugar cube in the bottom of a rocks glass, then add bourbon and break up the sugar with a muddler or back of a bar spoon and stir to mix well.

Add the bitters, cocktail cherry, orange, ice cubes and splash of water, then stir with a bar spoon until the mixture is well combined, the glass is chilled and the liquid is a touch cloudy. Serve immediately.
