We would love to pretend that we are minimalist packers when it comes to our makeup, but then we’d be lying. More often than not, we jet off with way more makeup than we should because, tbh, we always want to be selfie-ready on vacation.
That’s why we were so excited to team up with our friends at Blushington for our recent beauty tutorial slash cocktail hour for us girls-on-the-go. Our beauty mantra is that beauty starts with good health and great skin, which is why we travel with products that are fresh, easy, and good-for-your skin. Blushington brought their A-game, with beauty treatments, tutorials, and tons of great products for our guests to enjoy while they were being pampered at the beauty bar.
Our evening kicked off with partygoers getting treated to a full-face peel from the Blushington Peel Bar. When we travel, dry skin is our biggest beauty battle and Dr. Schultz’s Glycolic peel treatment is the perfect way to hit reset on our tired skin after a long trip. The peels were all natural, with no irritation or downtime, giving us ample time to sample the delicious food and drinks. Lady and the Larder’s cheese and charcuterie board (seriously show-stopping and totally Instagram-able if you’re looking to find an eye-catching board for your next dinner party, FYI!), and wines from Liana Estates were the perfect accompaniment to the full-face, custom makeup tutorials we later received from the beauty experts at Blushington.
Some of the beauty products that guests took home with them were the BECCA’s Beach Tint (that does triple duty as a color for your lips, eyes, and cheeks); the skin-refreshing and oh-so-light BB Crème by Erborian; and our favorite eyeliner pencil by Kevyn Aucoin (our Editor-In-Chief swears by it)!
It was a night of chatting with the experts at Blushington, snacking on some amazing food and drink, and meeting all our fellow Salt & Wind friends, not to mention we left with some valuable beauty intel and a full-face of makeup.
We’re definitely planning to put together more Salt & Wind events in the very near future so sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on the latest with us!
