Hello, dearest Salt & Wind readers:
I wanted you to be the first to know that we're hitting the road. As of this May, Salt & Wind is heading offline to launch IRL trips! And, of course, we want you to join in the fun. First up are 4-day trips to Baja California, Mexico. From there we'll be showing you some of our favorite California spots.
Then, in Fall 2017, we plan to expand to Hawaii, Italy, and, as of 2018, to Barcelona, Spain.

We launched Salt & Wind Travel because we believe travel is way more friend when you have a good partner and who better than you our beloved readers!?! Our trips are all about balance: refined but with a touch of real world grit; some relaxation and a lot of exploring; exercise along with quality food and drink; meticulous planning with some impromptu events; and a small group of fellow food and travel lovers.
LAUNCHING IN 2017
If you haven’t been there since your Spring Break days, you might be all, “huh?” but trust. Baja California (from Tijuana to the Valle de Guadalupe wine region) is having a major moment. Bottom line: the area is a gem and we want to show you why before it's on everyone’s radar.

Save the date for our Fall trip to Santa Barbara. We'll be pairing up with one of our favorite food friends, Nastassia Johnson of Let Me Eat Cake for a weekend of sips, sweets, and surf! On this weekend trip we'll meet local creatives, shop plenty, visit the wine regions, and stay active while doing it all!
Save the date for our Fall trip to Italy. We'll be starting and ending this trip in the thoroughly creative city of Milan then visiting Northern Italian wine country. On this 6-day, 5-night trip we'll meet local creatives, shop plenty, visit the wine regions, eat at high-end restaurants, find our favorite street foods, forage for seasonal ingredients, and cook our own meals.
OAHU, HAWAII: OCTOBER 25-29, 2017 (ON SALE JULY 2017)
You may have noticed I have major love for Oahu and I want to show you why! On this 5-day, 4 night trip we'll explore the world-class dining scene, go on a bar and shopping crawl, take surf lessons, and try all the essential local foods.
This November we'll be heading south to our home away from home, San Diego. On this quick day trip to San Diego, we'll explore all that the city has to offer!

BARCELONA AND COSTA BRAVA, SPAIN: SPRING + FALL 2018: ON SALE FALL 2017
Barcelona has always marched to the beat of its own drum and we couldn't be more about it. From Gaudi to Gin & Tonics and everything in between, we'll dig into the city with local expert, Lucy, from our Off Menu: Barcelona episode. On this 7-day, 6-night trip, we'll start in Barcelona and then head deep into the Costa Brava to uncover farms, boutiques, and all sorts of gems.
