I've never needed convincing to go to Ireland but, for one reason or another, it has never happened. So, I was psyched when we decided to head to Dublin for this week's #OffMenu episode. It may not be the first place you think of when you think creative food, but you should. I met up with Irish superstar food personality, Donal Skehan, and he showed me some of his favorite foods in his hometown.
We hit up The Pig's Ear where we had some beautiful local salmon and then the cutest mini shepherd's pie I've ever seen. For a taste of some of the top local seafood, we stopped by Fish Shop for classic fish and chips and a really sophisticated update on the fish burger with fennel apple slaw, brioche, and a garlic aioli. Then we headed to the one star Michelin restaurant, Chapter One, to finish our day. Of everything we ae, that fish sandwich was a total winner so I made a version of it for your to try!
