Danes themselves are quick to admit that, until just a few years back, Copenhagen didn’t really have much of a street food scene. But these days, you'd have no idea as there's everything from halls to stalls to street vendors across the City of Bikes. On our recent visit to the city of bicycles, smørrebrød and minimalist cool, we searched out another new Nordic scene: Copenhagen’s street food fare.
When it comes to beaches, Italy’s got a lot of options, but I feel most at home in the Tuscan beach town of Forte Dei Marmi. This beach town is less than an hour from Florence but feels like another world free of tourists and full of locals.
Living in Manhattan for almost a decade, I was used to having everything at my fingertips. Well, everything except nature. But after relocating to Denver, getting outdoors is my norm, with one my favorites being the road trip to Boulder. And, as the weather thaws, Boulder is a pretty perfect day trip because it has something for everyone — hiking or biking; shopping; and lots of great dining. I tend to do all three: head on a hike, stock up on produce at the Farmers Market, and finish the afternoon with a bite (or two).
