Aida Mollenkamp, Founder and Editor-In-Chief

Aida is a food and travel expert and the founder of Salt & Wind. She studied at the Cornell Hotel School and Le Cordon Bleu Paris before joining CHOW Magazine where she worked as Food Editor. Aida then moved to television and hosted the Food Network show, Ask Aida, FoodCrafters on the Cooking Channel, and In The Pantry on Yahoo! Her cookbook, Keys To The Kitchen, is a go-to for home cooks who want to become more adventurous.

Aida hosts the food travel TasteMade series, Off Menu, where she travels in search of a city's best food. She has visited over 30 countries, lived north, south, east, and even across the pond, and is always in search of ways to make life more delicious. For more on Aida, visit

Grace Helfrich, Marketing and Public Relations 

Grace started her career working for clients such as L’Oreal Paris and MARS Snackfoods. She eventually became Director of Marketing at Pelican Studios where she managed her clients’ social media programs. She focuses on growing our brand presence and creating strategic collaborations. 

Kristin Beasley, Director of Partnerships

Kristin has over 12 years of experience in advertising and business development. Her career has spanned from boutique agencies to international media companies, where she’s managed media budgets and digital marketing strategies for a variety of clients including SKYY Vodka, Campari, and Harry & David. Kristin handles all brand collaborations and sponsorships for Salt & Wind.

Remi Zimmerman, Editorial Intern

Remi Zimmerman is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. She has honed her hospitality leadership skills through working on the set of the Food Network show Giada at Home and at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, Windsor Capital Group, and the Studio Restaurant at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. After studying in Florence, Italy, she continues to feed her passion for food and travel working for Salt & Wind.

Hayley is a Strategic Director and food travel writer who was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She currently resides in Venice, California with her husband, Jesse and they are opening their very first, tiny restaurant in Venice Beach in 2016. Hayley writes travel tips and all sorts of food travel stories for Salt & Wind.

Ashley Maurer, Wellness Contributor

Ashley Maurer is a content creator and strategist who's hungry for anything and everything and helps people on their journey towards social media perfection. She covers Wellness stories for Salt & Wind with the aim of helping our readers healthy, centered, and rested when they travel.

Heather Platt, Regular Contributor

Heather Platt is a Los Angeles-based food writer and photographer. Her work can be seen in The Infatuation, We Like LA, PopSugar Food, Cooking With My Kid, Bon Appetit, Los Angeles Magazine and she is a regular contributor for LA Weekly.
